A Good Man Is Simply Irresistible

All too often I have heard women say that there are not enough good men out there. Some have said that all of the good men are either married or in committed relationships. However, I do believe that there are still good men that are out there but it just may not be "your" man. Rather than walking the man down the aisle before you ever obtain his first name, why not ask yourself what makes a good man simply irresistible? If you have no idea what makes a man good, then think of those qualities within a man that has you saying "Um, I want to learn more about him" or "wow, he really seems like he is worth getting to know as a friend." Do not take for granted the good men that surround you. Here are some of my personal opinions of what makes a good man simply irresistible.

  • A good man is simply irresistible when he takes time out to spend with his child (ren) while giving his wife or significant other time for herself without having been asked.

  • A good man is simply irresistible when he comes home from work and has dinner ready and waiting for his lady.

  • A good man is simply irresistible when he is able to show emotions when he watches a movie classified as a "chick" flick.

  • A good man is simply irresistible when he lets his woman know when finances are tight and they work on making their finances better without him depending on his mother to bail him out.

  • A good man is simply irresistible when he shows his son how to treat a lady on a date and his daughter how she should be treated as a lady when with a man.

  • A good man is simply irresistible when he realizes and appreciates the fact that he has a woman home that loves and honors his manhood without comparing himself to his boys.

  • A good man is simply irresistible when he is able to connect with his spirit guide and understand that he does not have to be a super hero for the whole world only for his woman and his child (ren).

  • A good man is simply irresistible when he says that he is going to do something and follows through without his woman "nagging" him.

  • A good man is simply irresistible when he loves his woman like no other man can or would. He does not have to physically hurt her to show his love. He just loves her for who she is and not what he wants her to be.

  • A good man is simply irresistible when he is willing to stay home from work (yes, I am talking about those stay at home dads who rarely get credit for raising their children) taking care of the children while his wife earns money for the family.

  • A good man is simply irresistible when he loves himself for who he is and not what his money, car, job, friends etc. believes he should be. He is comfortable in his own skin.

Today I would like to pay homage to all of the good men who continue to live in our society. There are many who are married and are in committed relationships. Yet there are others who are simply waiting for their lady to arrive and appreciate them for who they are and not how their bank account defines their worth. So if you know of any good men around you tell them thank you for being the man they are and let them know how much you appreciate them. Gentlemen, if you know of a man who could be a good man but he chooses not to then give him a little nudge in the right direction as there are still some ladies out here who are patiently waiting for a few good men.

Property in Phuket - Investors Turn to the East

With recent months seeing relative instability and poor returns from overseas property investment, the past twelve months have seen property investors going through a period of reflection, as they look to see which international markets will offer them the long term returns of investment they are looking for. Issues such as increasingly fragile economies and oversupply in traditional markets, have seen investors starting to look at markets such as Phuket with a view to them offering higher yields over the next few years.

Larger than Singapore, and located approximately 860 kilometers south of Bangkok, Phuket is one of South East Asia's premier tourist destinations. Friendly locals, good infrastructure, exceptional cuisine and a tropical climate have resulted in large numbers of international property investors moving into Phuket. As such, the island is rapidly becoming a regional hub of international property investment, offering relative stability in uncertain times.

Recently Phuket has seen some exciting, and genuinely innovative property development projects being launched on the island. Projects such as the Royal Marina and the Laguna Village are well conceived developments, which prove attractive to overseas investors. These projects offer a genuine lifestyle choice for people, offering waterside living in a beautiful and friendly environment.

As well as the favorable local conditions for investors, the second factor affecting this growth in demand for property in Phuket is the increasing acceptance of overseas property investment in Thailand by the local authorities. At present, Thai law states that a foreigner may not own the freehold to the land, however they are able to purchase a freehold title for the building which sits on the land. In effect, the resulting purchase agreement will see the purchaser buying the freehold title for the property, and a separate 30 year lease on the land itself. In this instance, it is common for the contract to provide an option to extend the lease a further two times, each for thirty years, effectively giving a 90 year lease.

Property legislation in Thailand is slightly different for investors wishing to purchase a condominium, where a developer is likely to offer the purchaser both a leasehold and freehold option. Under Thailand property law, foreign ownership of a condominium must be under the allow limit of 49%, and in this instance ownership on a freehold basis can be offered. However if the block is currently over the 49% foreign ownership quota, then the property will be offered on a leasehold basis with the option to extend twice for periods of 30 years.

Whilst this method of property legislation may seem time consuming and complex, it is commonly practiced throughout Thailand, and it is believed that the authorities are currently looking at streamlining this process. As with all property purchases overseas, the requirement for a solid understanding of local legislation makes the choice of a good, multi-lingual solicitor a key factor to a smooth transaction.

These more favorable conditions, coupled with the stable political and economic climate currently being experienced in Thailand, investors are seeing long term returns from a market which currently represents good value in the property market.

The market for property in Phuket is gaining popularity, but still has a long way to go before reaching maturity. With a range of property on offer in the region, Phuket has something to cater for every budget and taste.

My Favorite Phuket Resort

When it comes to Phuket resorts, if you don't do your homework you might find yourself staying somewhere fantastic or else somewhere completely drab. There are a large number of resorts in Phuket. Some of them are among the finest places to stay in all of Thailand, complete with all the trimmings, from swimming pools to spas.

There are some fine Phuket resorts, but one that stands out above the crowd is the Indigo Pearl resort in Nai Yang, towards the north of the island. As a resort, Indigo Pearl has evolved into something really special, winning numerous awards along the way.

The five-star Indigo Pearl is one of the most interesting Phuket resorts around. Owned by the prestigious Na Ranong family, the resort is like a fantasy playground. Every detail, from the cutlery and showerhead to the chairs and tables has been designed to reflect Phuket's tin-mining history. The resort is unique and a far cry from typical high-end chain hotels and resorts that you find all over Phuket.

The rooms at Indigo Pearl are perfect. They aren't excessively flashy, but they are comfortable in the optimal sense of the word. The bedding is exquisite and you won't want to get out of bed in the mornings.

This Phuket resort is located right next to Nai Yang Beach, which is a peaceful beach spot that doesn't attract many tourists. Nai Yang is also home to Phuket's kitesurfing community, so if you want to try something new, this is as good a place as any.

Back on site, there is a decent range of facilities. There are tennis courts and the gym is worth a look if you fancy a workout. As with most Phuket resorts, there are several places for wining and dining.

Rivet Grill is an exceptional restaurant that serves up the best steaks on the island. Meanwhile, Rebar is a funky cocktail bar that stays open late and has a DJ spinning lounge music. The Tongkah Tin Syndicate bar is a funky theme bar full of artifacts from the tin-mining world of yesteryear.

The main restaurant at Indigo Pearl is also home to the best Sunday brunch on the island - even better than the one at Floyd's Brasserie at Burasari.

The staff at Indigo Pearl are well trained and most of them can speak English proficiently. The only trouble with Indigo Pearl is that it's located a long way from the majority of the island's main attractions, but if you can bear being a little out in the wilderness, Indigo Pearl is the perfect Phuket resort.

Patong Beach Hotels to Consider

You've decided to visit Patong Beach in Thailand and need a place to stay! There are many hotels available in this party capital of Phuket! You're sure to find that one that's right for you whether you're looking for quiet luxury; family accommodations; other singles; or perhaps an apartment, boarding house, or time share.

So you've opted for Luxury!

o The top end among luxury resorts is Amanpuri, and The Chedi Panasea beach. The elegant thatched suite huts and exclusive setting will impress even the worldliest connoisseur. Rates are from $750 to $18,000 per night for a 6 bedroom pool villa with ocean view.

o The Amari Coral Beach Resort is great for honeymooners! It is on the small hill at the east end of Patong Beach and away from the noise of the town. It's very peaceful with exotic views and an extremely nice staff. Expect to pay $130 to $320.

o Other splurge spots include Absolute Sea Pearl Beach Resort, Diamond Cliff Resort, Burasari, Holiday Inn Resort, Impiana Phuket Cabana, Sunset Beach Resort, and Deevana Patong Resort & Spa. These cost from $90 to $500 per night.

Looking for mid-range?

o The KN Guesthouse just off Ratuthid Road has a swimming pool and restaurant. It's squeaky clean and has great hosts. Rooms start at $33.

o The Patong Inn is across from the beach, and steps away from Bangla Road. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable. About $56 a night includes breakfast for 2 people.

o Also check these: Yorkshire Inn, Patong Bayshore, Patong Lodge Hotel, and Patong Palmview Resort. Rates will be from $25 to $100+.

Looking for a family spot? Select a quiet hotel close to the beach (there are several that meet these guidelines). This allows easy access to family oriented activities (snorkeling, swimming, and playing on the great sand beaches). Because of the "party-capital" atmosphere in Patong; with its thriving nightlife; numerous "entertainment complexes"; countless bars; and prostitutes to cater to every taste, you will probably want the family to stay away from Bangla Road.

Looking for alternative accommodations?

o The Komma Bar & Guesthouse has a fantastic location on the south end of the Patong strip. It offers good food, warm vibes and hotel quality rooms for about $39.

o The Quality Resort Patong Beach is a boutique resort located just a few steps from the south of Patong Beach. Surrounding the resort are a multitude of shops offering a tempting array of goods and souvenirs.

o Tight budget? You can find a dormitory bed for under $5.

Backpacking Southeast Asia - Thailand Itinerary Ideas

Considering a backpacking trip to Thailand? Here are some ideas for your itinerary.

One Week: If you only have one week in Thailand, you will have to make sacrifices on what you will be able to see. The most common route would be to spend a few days in Bangkok, checking out the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, and getting familiar with the Thai culture. The remainder of the trip could be spent on one of the numerous beach locations Thailand has to offer.

Catch a cheap flight to Either Phuket or Ko Samui to relax on the beach for a few days. From Ko Samui you could spend a few days at Ko Pha Ngan if you wanted to attend the full moon party (book accommodation well in advance if you are trying to go to the full moon party). From Phuket, you could spend a few days on the beautiful island of Ko Phi Phi, relaxing on the beach or going snorkeling.

Two weeks: With two weeks in Thailand, you will be able to the vast majority of what Thailand has to offer. Again your trip will most likely start in Bangkok.

If you want to do the beach circuit, catch the bus or a cheap flight to Phuket. Spend a day in Phuket, before heading to Ko Phi Phi. From Ko Phi Phi, catch a ferry to the Krabi region and spend some spend rock climbing and snorkeling. From Krabi take the bus to Surat Thani, to catch the Ferry to head to Ko Samui and Ko Pha Ngan, before heading back to Bangkok to conclude your trip.

Another option is to visit Northern Thailand, but still spend some time on the beach. Again start in Bangkok before catching the train to Chiang Mai. While in Chiang Mai, visit local native hill tribes, go on elephant rides, go bamboo rafting, take Thai cooking classes, and visit the Sunday Market. From Chiang Mai you can choose to either visit Ko Samui and Ko Pha Ngan, or Phuket, Ko Phi Phi and Krabi. The easiest way is to catch a cheap flight from Chiang Mai to either Ko Samui or Phuket.

One Month: With one month in Thailand you can visit almost every corner of the country. Along with all the destinations previously mentioned, you can also visit the white sand beaches of Ko Samet and Ko Chang. To the East of Bangkok, these destinations are much quieter than the beach destinations in Southern Thailand. Ko Chang is a good place to visit if you are into scuba diving.

Another destination that is possible to visit is Ko Tao. A short ferry ride from Ko Pha Ngan, this sleepy island also has some excellent scuba diving, and can be a peaceful break from the craziness of the full moon party.

Unfortunately, due to Bangkok's central location and the fact that it is the transportation hub of Thailand, you will have to backtrack if you want to see all corners of the country. If you are willing to take some discount flights, it can help to eliminate the long backtracking journeys.

Knowing where to go when planning your trip can be difficult, so it important to do some research before you leave. Tiger Muay Thai Camp Review (Phuket, Thailand)

This is a review for Tiger Muay Thai & MMA in Phuket, Thailand. I turned up and originally planned and paid to stay here for 1 week... 1 week turned into 2 weeks. Then I came back for a month.

Pricing
The cost for training is about average for a Farang training in Thailand, and is as follows:

  • Half day 300B

  • Full day 500B

  • Week 2500B

  • Month 9000B

  • 3 Months 24000B

A strong recommendation I will make, is that if you are coming here on a budget and/or have not done much intense training before, then only pay a week or so in advance. Time and time again people pay up for 3 months in advance, then only train a few times a week. Pay a week in advance and then see how much you think you will train before shelling out loads of cash in advance.

Payment is accepted via cash or credit card (Visa & MasterCard).

Accommodation

Rooms vary from 2,500B (small room with fan) to 20,000B+ (room with air con and all modern facilities and a swimming pool)/month. I was paying 12,000B for a very nice double room with cable TV, Wi-Fi, hot electric shower etc. at a place just down the road called 'The Nature House'.

My advice for accommodation is to only pre pay a few days or a week to start with. As you may find something much cheaper or if you already have a cheap room you may not like it and wish to upgrade.

A good (but not exhaustive) accommodation list is available on the TMT website.

Food

Eating in the local area can be anything from 40B a meal to 350B+ depending on where and what you eat. The cheaper meals tend to be Thai food (generally consisting of rice or noodles dishes), western food is much more expensive. A restaurant called Mama's is one of the cheapest around here and has a solid reputation. They also have cheap rooms available (9,000B/month).

Whatever you do, DON'T pay in advance for the food plan at the gym. It is overpriced and many people end up missing meals. There are plenty of other places to eat, variety is more fun than eating at the same place every day.

Training

As well as Muay Thai, the gym offers classes in MMA (mostly no gi jiu jitsu and sparring), Western Boxing, Krabi Krabong, Yoga and Circuit training.

In all honesty, the Muay Thai classes are overcrowded, and you will unlikely be recognised and given individual attention unless you stay a long period of time, or pay extra for private sessions. But you can still get a good work out.

The western boxing classes are good, with two world champions and a stadium champion instructing. But can still get very busy.

The MMA classes I have mixed feelings towards. The mornings are just no gi jiu jitsu (which is taught to a fairly decent level by Ray Elbe) and the afternoons are fairly intense sparring. And they do have a nice cage to train in. However no wrestling is taught.

If you want to do MMA here then my advice is to get the best of it by training the morning no gi BJJ class and then do the Muay Thai or Western Boxing class in the afternoons.
The gym also hosts seminars often (most of which are free) with visiting fighters. Whilst I was there Royce Gracie, Alberto Crane and Roger Huerta gave seminars!

Facilities

Tiger Muay Thai has some of the best facilities in all of Thailand. At the time of writing they have 6 rings, a MMA cage, a weights room (with enough benches, racks, machines and weights to get a really good workout), another weights area with lots of kettlebells and several spinning bikes, and many heavy bags. They are also having a large extension built.

Location

Phuket is a very large tourist destination. However, Tiger Muay Thai is located in the subdistrict of Chalong, which is cut off from most of the distractions this brings (beaches, bars, nightlife etc), but these are easily accessible by taxi or if you rent a scooter for 3-4,000B per month.

I'd recommend a scooter if you are staying for any period of time (just be careful, there are some 10,000 accidents a year in Phuket alone involving bikes).

With the freedom of a bike you can access the food and clothing markets, Central Festival shopping centre (including cinema), Beaches, Bars & Clubs, the local Zoo, the aquariam, Elephant trekking, Snake shows etc!

Equipment Shop

The price of most things in this shop are jacked up. Shop around unless there is something really specific you want here.

Personal Comments

Your time at Tiger Muay Thai will be what you make it. It can be a serious training camp or you can come here with the best of intentions yet get caught up in boozing most nights and spending your days on the beaches... or you can do a bit of both.

This place is aimed more towards the casual trainer on holiday with plenty of cash to spare, so unless you are quite tight fisted you can easily spend a lot of money.

I made lots of friends and enjoyed myself and what all the different classes had to offer, but after a time I grew tired of the overcrowded and commercial side to the gym and decided to switch over to Dragon Muay Thai just down the road...

Why Choose to Live in Phuket?

There's no denying that Phuket continues to be a winner with holidaymakers, but it's often overlooked just how appealing the island is to expats aiming to relocate. Thailand is a great place to live, but depending on your needs, each different province will be like heaven or hell. Most people's first stop is Bangkok., but the appeal of the big city can wear thin in a short time. Phuket has most of the amenities of Bangkok with the added bonus of being a tropical island.

One of the main draws of living in Thailand is how cheap everything is compared to the places such as America, Japan, Europe, Britain and Australia. Money goes a lot further in Thailand than in many other countries, You may have read about how expensive Phuket is to live, but take those words with a pinch of salt. Phuket may be slightly more pricey than Bangkok, but if you're careful with your money you can live on much the same as in the capital.

Accommodation isn't expensive in Phuket unless you're keen on renting a lavish condo or a big house. You can rent a basic studio apartment or a small house for about 5,000 baht a month in Phuket Town. You'll find that renting a place somewhere like Patong is a lot more expensive. Alternatively, if you have a Thai wife you can buy your own house for a fraction of the price of something similar in the Western world.

Eating out is also reasonably priced and there are a variety of restaurants to choose from in Phuket. There are numerous places to go shopping, including Central Festival mall in Phuket City and Jungceylon in Patong. Tesco and Tops are two popular supermarkets that you can find all over the island.

Other amenities in Phuket include cinemas, go-kart tracks, shooting ranges, bars, clubs and pubs, and a couple of parks. The real draw of the island, however, is its beaches.

It doesn't take long for new residents to figure out which beaches are worth visiting and which are worth avoiding altogether. Forget Patong Beach if you want something scenic and try somewhere like Yanui or Mai Khao instead. It's a fantastic feeling to be able to have your pick of more than a dozen beach spots on your day off.

In terms of work, there are ample opportunities to find employment with schools, language schools, magazines, newspapers, hotels and resorts, property companies, and other businesses. Get yourself to the island, get out there and meet people - soon enough the opportunities will begin to present themselves.

There's no doubt that Phuket is a great place for a holiday or even as somewhere to relocate to. Phuket Vogue is a website that might help you make the decision, with all the latest gossip about Phuket events and restaurants in Patong, as well as a handy currency exchange feature.

Phuket Weather: What to Do When It Rains

So it has been raining all night and you are sad looking out your hotel window looking at the torrential rain wondering what to do with your rainy day in Phuket. Below are a few options that are not affected by the rain and some that make it much better.

1. Quad biking - probably one for the guys but the rain makes quad biking much, much more fun, with puddles to splash through and mud to slide on. Yes you will get very wet and very muddy but it will be worth it i assure you!

2. Spa Treatment - probably one for the girls whilst their partners are out quad biking! Get into the dry and relax with a spa treatment. There are a million and one treatments available and all at very cheap prices compared to western spas.

3 - Shopping - Always a favorite rainy day activity wherever you are. Phuket has a number of indoor shopping centers with underground parking so you never have to step into the rain. Central Shopping Mall, Big C, Tesco-Lotus, Ocean Plaza and Robinsons Department Store around Phuket Town or Jungceylon in Patong are all big indoor centers worth a look.

4 - bowling/laser tag/cinema - The Jungcelon in Patong has a number of indoor activities beyond shopping such as laser games or live gun shooting, 10 pin bowling and a cinema. There are also plenty of bars and restaurants so really there is something for everyone. I always head hear when the Phuket weather turns nasty!

5 - Go for a swim - most people tend to avoid the pool or the beach when there is a downpour, but swimming in the rain is great fun and because Phukets weather is hot; be it raining or not the rain makes little difference! Get wet in the rain!

You can park underground but you may need to pay a small fee depending on how long you stay (show your shopping receipts). It also has an excellent indoor market called That's Siam, perfect for souvenirs such as Thai Silks, Pearls, Shells and local items.

Central Festival is located in the center of the island and is about a 30 minute drive, it has some designer brands like Guess, and everyday shops as well. Its a great place to buy good quality items, ask for a 5% tourist discount card.

Is Phuket Still Worth a Visit?

If you were to pay attention to expat forums and travel websites, you'd soon come to the conclusion that Phuket wasn't worth visiting. Long-time expats and grumpy travelers have been known to paint a very gloomy picture of Phuket. It's the same old story: over development has spoiled the beaches, there are too many people, everything is expensive and it just ain't like it used to be. All of this is true, to an extent, but only if you choose to hang out in the island's tourist traps.

A visit to Phuket can be as lovely or as depressing as you want it to be. Spending a week in Patong in the hopes of finding a secluded beach paradise would put most people off a return trip to the island, but with a little thought and planning ahead, it's easy enough to suss out a few of the better spots to visit.

On the other hand, if you want a holiday chock full of rowdy nightlife, late-night discos, a reasonable beach and lots of tourists, Patong could be just what you need. There's no denying that the beach resort can be a lot of fun if not taken too seriously, but let's face it, most people go to an island to enjoy the sun, sea and sand.

Kata and Karon are two beaches that are less crowded than Patong and a whole lot more appealing. Accommodation at these two beach spots is reasonably priced and it's easy enough to travel from one part of the island to another. The best way to get around is, of course, by hiring a motorbike, but there are taxis and tuk-tuks that will ferry travelers around for over-the-top prices.

So if the island's most popular area is worth giving a miss, you might be wondering if there are enough other decent spots to still make a trip to Phuket memorable. There are lots of beautiful areas of Phuket, some better known than others. Phuket Town may not have a beach, but it's still a place that should be checked out, if only for the good food and lazy vibes. It's also a transport hub, with regular links to most of the island's beaches and other points of interest.

If you're keen to see some of Phuket's beaches, find your way to Yanui Beach or take a trip to Coconut Island, just off the east coast. Mai Khao Beach is another good one, although for the most part it is so deserted that there isn't even anyway to buy a cool drink.

Phuket has changed a lot over the past 20 years, but that doesn't mean it should be scratched off travelers' itineraries. Just don't listen to the jaded long-timers.

Water Sports For All to Enjoy in Phuket

Phuket is the biggest island in Thailand and is a destination where visitors can enjoy a variety of water sports. Fishing, yachting, snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, parasailing, jet skiing and banana boat riding are the main water activities visitors can find in the province.

All levels of swimmers can snorkel and experience the joys of swimming over coral reefs with colorful fish. The best locations for snorkeling in Phuket are Laem Sing Beach, Kata and Kata Noi Beach, and Ao Sane Beach among a few others. Snorkelers are advised to wear a T-shirt and protective UV cream as the sun is usually very hard.

For people who want to try deep water scuba diving, Phuket has lots of fantastic diving sites. A multitude of diving shops offer to beginners PADI Open Water courses, and for the experienced divers a selection of diving trips are organized around smaller islands. The Similans, Phi Phi islands, Koh Racha Yai & Noi have the best spots for a dive.

Besides swimming, snorkeling and diving, other water sports can be enjoyed on the water like fishing. A fishing boat can be rented for the day for five or six persons where not only fishing, but sunbathing, can be experienced in the Andaman Sea. All the fish caught, mainly Tuna, will end as a dish for lunch, prepared by the crew on board of the boat.

Sea kayaking is another good way to explore the coast of Phuket from the sea. Kayaks with one or two seats can be rented at several beaches: Nai Harn, Ao Sane, Tri Tra and Yanui Beach. Kayaking tours are also organized to explore Phang Nga Bay's cliffs and caverns. It is recommended to ask if it is safe to kayak on the western coast as big waves and courant can be dangerous at times in Phuket.

Jet skis are available for rent in the main beaches but are regrettably overpriced because renters are together in an agreement not to compete and prices will be never discounted. There have been reports of tourists being scammed into paying huge bills for damages to the machines they did not do. The advice would be not to rent them and at the same time help for a better environment with less noise pollution.

Para-sails and banana boats are other activities available. Parasailing is safe as there is someone present during the short trip to make sure that the parachute goes the correct way. Banana boat is a great way to share with five other friends a few minutes of fun on an inflatable banana towed by a speedboat on the water. The fun is over when everyone is eventually thrown into the water.

Phuket definitely has everything that a visitor would want to do on a vacation at the seaside. From very busy beaches to smaller ones, everyone can find a favorite place to go and enjoy water sports.

What Time of Year Should You Go to Florida?

Visiting Florida for a vacation is an excellent decision, however, the weather is always a consideration. With a trip to any state, considering the weather patterns for that state is very important. Knowing when the best time of year to visit will keep your visit fun and safe, as bad weather conditions can make the trip hazardous. Florida has one of the mildest climates in America, with golden sun-filled days and beautiful clear nights almost year round. However, there are times of the year that it is not a good idea for a vacation.

Florida lies in an area of the country that is close to the tropical islands. As such, the state has a time of the year between June 1st and November 30th that is known as "hurricane season". During this time of year, the state sees tropical disturbances, including tropical depressions and hurricanes. These storms can be dangerous, especially for tourists who are not familiar with this kind of weather pattern. However, that is not to say that it is a bad time to visit Florida. The storms do not always make landfall, and are rarely strong enough to warrant evacuation. Remember to watch the weather reports, particularly from Miami, Florida. They will give you up-to-date information on the tropical activity.

During the summer months from June to August, most schools in the state of Florida are released for summer vacation. This can usually mean an increase in activity flow for theme parks, like Disney World, and Universal Studios Orlando. They are also the hottest months of the year in Florida, which can be dangerous. However, most Florida theme parks offer terrific water attractions that can keep you cool in the heat. Beaches are also excellent in Florida this time of year. Keep in mind, however, that there are few excellent surf locations on either coast in Florida, unless there is a severe storm in the tropics. Florida beaches are better known for being clear and mild with light chops, rather then for having premium conditions for surfing.

Having a flexible vacation time is also a good idea. The reason for this is that during the "tourist season" there is a large number of people that visit the state for its warm sunny beaches and its amazing theme parks. However, this may not be a great time for a fun-filled vacation with the family, especially if you do not like crowds of people. The theme parks are opened to tourists, as well as residents, year round. Therefore, most Florida residents take their vacations during the off-season, before and after the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, as well as before and after Summer and Spring Vacation. These times of year also yield certain specials for theme parks that anyone can take advantage of. The beach areas, like Miami, are also less crowded during the off-seasons.

Making a trip to Florida is an excellent vacation plan for anyone. However, it is best to keep in mind the different kinds of conditions that the state offer, in regards to both weather and tourism. The number of people that visit the state each year during the normal tourist season is in the high thousands and can be somewhat overwhelming for some people. The weather conditions can also become dangerous at times, as well. Watching the weather reports for the state of Florida can help keep your vacation safe and fun.

A Tropical Island Vacation With Great Nightlife

Some people might look for complete solitude during a tropical island vacation to get away from it all, but no matter how blissful beach holidays can be, some long for great night life as well.

For those of you who wish to go to an island where there are also some exciting night life activities, check out this list of 5 of the world's top tropical destinations where you can sunbathe by day and party by night.

Ibiza, Spain

This is The Place to go for the best night life and party scenes. From its bars, to its clubs, to its fun-loving people, Ibiza has long been the world's best destination for parties and more parties.

So what do you do in Ibiza? First, remember that there's always something new going on. So know first what's hot for the day or the week you're visiting and make sure you make the best of any event in town.

If you'd rather not do this research and prefer to be spontaneous, then just go to any of its many clubs and you're practically guaranteed a great night out.

True to almost every night hangout in Spain, life doesn't really start until the bell strikes 12! So make sure you get a siesta in because with everything that Ibiza offers, that's about the only sleep you'll get!

Phuket Thailand

The exotic splendors of Bangkok's palaces may not grace Phuket, but if you want to be by the beach all day and party all night in Siam, then Phuket is a great place to be.

For those who really want to party, Patong is where the island's bars, clubs and discotheques are. If you've got the kids with you, you might also want to visit Phuket Fantasea on Kamala Beach, which is the islands version of a festival and cultural event -a place to sample Thai theater, eat great Thai food, play games, and go shopping.

On the other hand, if you want to go some place a bit tamer, Karon Beach is an excellent place for restaurants with some good food and great cocktails . And if you want a classier and MUCH quieter ambiance, go to Bangtao bay.

Negril, Jamaica

Relieve the lifestyle of the 60's as well as immerse yourself in exotic Jamaican culture when you go for a tropical island vacation in Negril.

Night activities in Negril are really laid-back island living but fun. There are usually no schedules, no fixed time, no fixed place. You literally just have to follow the music and that's where the action is going to be for the night--a night of dancing, reggae appreciation, drinking and great conversations.

Sydney, Australia

If you want the feel of a big cosmopolitan city at night yet be lounging on the beach by day, we recommend a tropical island vacation in Sydney where you'll never run out of things to do.

For a bit of the arts and a wonderful experience know what shows are on in the Sydney Opera House Theater. Or if you go there in the summer, the acclaimed Sydney Festival is one cultural event not to be missed.

For a bit of local lifestyle on the other hand, check out the bars and clubs that locals frequent. There are many tour companies that offer night tours for this purpose which you might want to take part in if you want to know Sydney's secret night hideaways.

Nassau, Bahamas

This is a popular destination for night revelers and it's very easy to see why---Nassau could easily be described as the Caribbean's nightlife capital.

There are first of all, the casinos that thrill-seekers frequent. These casinos come with all the fun and excitement that even people who do not play will find very interesting.

Then there are the discotheques and clubs where you can experience the Bahamians love for life and fun on the dance floor. There are also cultural shows for those who want something a bit more sedate.

A tropical island vacation in Nassau will undoubtedly give you 24 hours of fun on your island holidays in the Caribbean.

Honda CRV Test Drive in Thailand

The New High-Tech Honda Accord with Euro Looks

Is it a BMW? Maybe the Audi A-4? Or the VW Passat? Le Peugeut? No! It's the new Honda Accord! Acc-ord! The name reminds me of French d'Accord! (Agree, OK in English).

And I agree. The new 8th generation Honda Accord looks sleek, dynamic, sporty and has a lower and a wider track for that solid, planted feel. Look at the new low slung, chromed angular grill, the new cool, clear projector type headlights and the muscular pronounced wheels arches housing the 17 inch alloy wheels.

The side view also reveals new higher waistline matching the perfectly raked roof line. The rear break light cluster is very BMW'ish. The new Honda Accord takes on asharp European design. Perhaps, the best looking Honda ever.

Furthermore the new Honda Accord has been upsized. The floor space is now lower and the wheel base is longer to provide more space, especially for the back seat riders. There's enough room back there to be comfortable, even when front seats are far back. The luxurious leather upholstered cabin environment is quietandvibration free thanks to the ANC (Active Noise Control) system and is a very comfortable place to be.

Our demo, the Honda 2.4 EL (NAVI) the top of 2.4 litre models fully loaded with all the goodies: dual-zone air-conditioning, front power seats with memory, (and lumbar massage for the driver) electric rear sunshade, cruise control and a sporty Formula One inspired paddle shifter on the steering wheel.

But it was the communication in-car infotainment centre that caught my attention. A real-time IT package: hands-free Bluetooth, CD/MP3/WMA (auxiliary input jack for connecting portable music players), and a premium sound system with a subwoofer. Only the high speed internet "Google" connection was missing!

And the "navigator" the Honda Accord GPS connected to a 40 gigabyte hard disc. For the music fans that's 3.000 songs. Enough music for Phuket to Bangkok back and fourth! The Accord 2.4 EL "NAVI" is probably is the best Navigator in the market.

The navigation screen is large and easy to read with a user friendly joystick and command wheel. No more maps everything is click-on: the highways, (byways) expressways, the u-turns and the bypasses, the attractions, the "aroy-aroy" restaurants, the hospitals and the police stations. When the car is stationary you can watch DVD movies or your digital "home movies" and when reversing it switches automatically to R mode: parking camera. A real time parking movie.

Everything connected to the on-board info-centre including your pertinent driving information: fuel consumption, average speed, distance to destination etc.

For the driver there is lot's of buttons to push on center console and the steering wheels. Every car should have multifunction steering wheel. Always two hands on the wheel.

Under the bonnet (the hood), the main focus is the new, second-generation Honda i-VTEC in-line four cylinder 2.4 litre 5-speed motor packing 180 horsepower. More powerful than the previous and more frugal. During our test-drive we managed 13 kilometer per litre on the highway and about 9 liter per kilometer in the city. And the good news. The new Accord is E 20 compatible (alcohol & gasoline). That's 20 percent Johnny Walker Red or Stolichnaya and 80 percent unleaded petrol (gasoline) 91or 95.

Honda Accord's four-wheel independent suspension features a double-wishbone design in front and a new multilink setup in back. On the road, the Accord is taut without being punishing, and the sedan recovers quickly without any extra bobbing after hitting a bump or dip in the road.

The safety package is comprehensive with dual i-SRS front driver and side airbags including side curtain airbags with OPD (occupant position detect ant) system. Plus VSA vehicle stability assist combined with ABS and EDB making those slippery curves less challenging.

In conclusion the new Accord feels refined and solid and is perfectly suited for Thailand highway cruising or urban driving. Just perfect for a Bangkok-Phuket, Bangkok-Samiu 8-9 hour long haul, if only the fuel, E20 gasohol had been cheaper!

Latest version of the Accord is ready to take on the prestige imported rivals from Germany. And really good news for potential buyers is that all the improvements and additional IT features haven't pushed up the cost.

The sticker price for the new Honda Accord 2.4 EL (NAVI) is 1.6 million THB. The two litre base Accord model is priced 1.2 million THB and the flagship Honda Accord 3.5 G (NAVI) V6 sets you back a cool 2.8 million THB.

5 Ways That an MMA Fighter Can Make Money

A lot of people want to know ways that a Mixed Martial Arts fighter makes money, and how much they make. This could be our of pure curiosity, or perhaps due to the growing popularity of MMA, there are a lot of potential fighters researching their options. Whichever the case, I decided to outline some of the ways that MMA fighters can make an income, and the potential earnings for each one. There are 5 main ways that MMA Fighters make an income: Fights, Endorsements, Owning a School, Seminars, Appearances.

Fights

One of the main ways that an MMA fighter makes money is through their fights. Smaller promotions will pay between $500 - $800 per event for showing. Fighters may get an additional pay out for a win. As you get to the larger factions such as WEC, UFC, Strikeforce, etc. Fighters will get anywhere from $2,000 to $10,000 for lower or middle card fighters. The big name fighters can make anywhere from $20,000 to over $200,000 per event. Some of this salary is based on PPV buys. The main event fighters usually get a portion of the PPV as opposed to a flat salary. Fighters can also receive incentive based bonuses. In a recent UFC event, Dana White announced pay outs of $25,000 for the "Knock Out of the Night" and $6,500 for anyone who won their match by submission. It was also reported that at UFC 95 each fighter received a $40,000 bonus for Fight, Submission and Knock Out of the Night.

Endorsements

Once again, the amount of money you receive depends on your popularity, status and frequency of fights. Beginning or lower card fighters will be lucky to get free equipment and apparell, while big name fighters receive cash payments and reasonably sized contracts to endorse and wear the manufacturers products. Middle card fighters will receive a small amount of cash in addition to freebies. The details of such contracts are typically not public information and finding even the littlest piece of information on the numbers is particularly difficult, however it has been reported that bigger names of the sport such as Randy Couture or Frank Mir have received endorsement contracts that are multi million dollar deals.

Owning A School

There are a decent amount of MMA fighters that are capilatizing on their popularity by opening up their own school, whether it be for Muay Thai, MMA or BJJ. Such names include Randy Couture, Matt Serra, Ricardo Almeida and even current The Ultimate Fighter contestant, Santino DeFranco. Depending on the size and popularity of the school, owner/instructors can make anywhere from $35,000 to over $250,000 a year. This is dependant on student population, tutition rate, private lessons and merchandise sales. UFC is currently opening 3 gyms that are targeted exclusively towards training for Mixed Martial Arts. These locations will be in California, Hawaii and Montreal. There is no doubt that these locations will be top of the line training facilities that will become cash cows for the company.

Seminars

Some MMA fighters who may not own a school hit the seminar circuit visiting different MMA or BJJ schools across the country doing seminars and making pretty good money in the process. Kenny Florian recently did this along with his brother Keith, visiting several schools including Balance Studios in Philadelphia, which I have trained at. Depening on the popularity of the star they can receive anywhere from $1000-$4000 per appearance. In addition they usually have their expenses such as flight, food and accommodations paid for.

Appearances

As opposed to a seminar which is a private instructional appearance, some stars get hired for other public events such as opening of a store, night club appearance, casino appearances, trade shows and other public events. The contract for this is usually the same as for a seminar covering room, travel and food expenses. Rates can be anywhere from $1,000 to $50,000 per event depending on who the event host/sponsor is.

I hope this gave you some insight into the ways that an MMA fighter can make money. There are many factors that help determine this such as the popularity of the fighter, how good their agents are, etc. This is the first of an ongoing "How To" series that I am starting which will cover everything from training techniques to personal inquires.

10 Reasons Why You Must Visit Phuket, Thailand

1. The beaches -. Most tourists come for the beautiful white and picturesque beaches of Phuket. Head for the unspoiled white shores of Laem Ka Beach, Nai Thon or Nai Yang to enjoy some peace and quiet or head for Karon or Kata for a more upbeat feel.

2. Traditional Spicy Thai Food - For those who love spice, Thailand would be heaven to you with their range of spicy dishes such as Tom Yam Goong, Som Tham and Pad Thai; all of which are national favourites.

3. Muai Thai - Though you might have seen it on TV or even in some places around the world, no one does Muai Thai like the place it originated from. This fascinating sport is more than just boxing as you get to see the rituals they perform before a fight and even the music that accompanies the matches throughout.

4. An elephant trek - Sure you can ride an elephant almost anywhere in the world, but here comes a unique experience that will sit in your mind forever. Take an elephant ride throughout the forests of Phuket and go on a half day eco trail as your guides bring you to places off the beaten path.

5. Great Snorkelling - The waters surrounding Phuket are a dream come true for snorkelling and for those who've never tried; this would be the perfect place to make your first memory. Take a boat trip to the nearby islands like the coral islands or Similan islands to get a much more magical experience there.

6. Cabaret! - This is a must see for all adults out there. Phuket's Simon Cabaret attracts over a thousand visitors every day and for good reason. Its glamour, originality and fun make it a really enjoyable performance worth seeing. Yet again, no one does Cabaret like the Thais!

7. The Temples - Visit temples such as Wat Chalong, considered by the locals to be the pride of Phuket or go for some of the other equally beautiful and mystical ones such as Wat Prathong or Wat Suwan Khiri Khet.

8. Patong - The one and only place in Phuket where you can play during the day and party the night away. The pulsating nightlife in Patong is so contagious that soon you'll find yourself just letting go and boogying the night away!

9. Cheap Shopping - Seriously one of the cheapest places to shop in the world today, you would regret if you passed up the opportunity to get almost anything and everything here!

10. The best part of Thailand is Phuket. There is no place in Thailand as beautiful or as relaxing and yet fun and vibrant as Phuket.

Read This Before Dating a Thai Bar Girl

Thailand is world renowned for their red-light districts. Many Western men visit the country every year on business or on vacation and visit some of the many go-go bars in many parts of the country. While the bar girl scene in all actuality is a very small part of the countries culture, it is often widely talked about in Western cultures.

Some men visit a bar and fall in love with one of the beautiful Thailand bar girls and attempt to date them. These men quickly find out that dating one of these women is not as simple as dating a regular Thai girl. In fact, I highly recommend you leave your heart at the doorstep of these establishments and find a real Thai girl to date. But in case you are adventurous, here are five things you should know before dating Thailand bar girls.

1. Most Thai bargirls have little to no education

Many of the ladies you see in Bangkok red-light districts such as Patpong or along the beachfronts in Pattaya or Patong Beach on Phuket are not locals. Many of them are from the Eastern part of the country known as Isan. Other girls come from the North and are often not even Thai citizens but residents of Burma, Cambodia or some of the hill-tribe regions between countries. These women likely have little education and in many cases, cannot speak much English.

2. Thai bar girls have a very street smart.

Formal education aside, Thai bar girls have a very keen street sense. Never underestimate a woman that's worked in a Thai go-go bar. She will look sweet, beautiful, sexy and innocent but she may also have anterior motives in the relationship.

3. To bar girls, money is very important.

In many situations, the money that a Thai bar girl brings in for a nights work is many times sent home to take care of parents or their own children that they have. So unless you have a decent amount of money and are willing to support her family, she'll likely not be interested. This fact is something that has plagued real Thai ladies in the past. Note to Western men, NOT ALL THAI WOMEN THINK THAT MONEY IS IMPORTANT!

4. Thai bar girls like their line of work

It's true! And that is the most difficult about getting into a serious relationship with a Thai bargirl. You want to "save" them from their line of work, but they don't want to be saved. They make very good money compared to other things they could be doing. This gives the bar girl a great amount of personal freedom. This personal freedom will be difficult for the lady to part with if asked. If a man tries to take a Thai bar girl out of the bar, he'll find it to be very difficult unless she's truly done with that scene and ready to settle down.

5. It is rare, but there are success stories

There are some success stories of Western men dating and sometimes happily marrying a bar girl he met while on the job. Unfortunately, I don't personally know of anyone that has been successful in settling down with one. But I'm certain it has happened a time or two.

The best advise I can give is to go and enjoy your time in Thailand however you wish to spend it. Just be careful when dating Thai bar girls and remember to heed my advise.

If you are looking for a Thai woman to be your girlfriend or just someone to spend time with while in Thailand, this blog is for you. The site discusses how to meet beautiful Thai women online or while traveling through Thailand on vacation. You can read about how to meet and date Thai women.

Play Soccer

Each enthusiast, fan or player will give anything in this world just to be able to play soccer. The game is highly regarded by health experts due to the fact that it makes the athlete use the main parts of his or her body. To become a fit and well-conditioned individual is what many of us aspire. Seeing yourself physically conditioned and free from illness simply makes you feel good.

It is an ideal opportunity for people to make better their physical well being as it is one of the best forms of exercise. What makes this sport really great is that you impose upon yourself a highly recommended physical activity while you are not aware of such a routine. The explanation of which is that when you engage in a football game you just focus on how to outsmart your opponents and giving out the best of your skills.

Soccer is a perfect contact sport for children. The young ones should be guided and motivated by their parents to play football as the sport has highly regarded rules and regulations that can be used by the children even in their actual lives outside soccer. It is advised that the young person's thoughts are directed to gaining knowledge and expertise of a sport such as football.

Children are getting hooked to the computer and computer games these days than engaging in sports. As we all know, letting them spend most of their time sitting and staring at the PC monitor spells trouble for their health. Young people need to do exercise and sweat in order to develop healthy bodies thus encouraging them to play soccer is a wise move.

Visit Thailand - Visit Similan Islands

The Similan Islands are just about 84 kms northwest of Phuket in the blue crystal waters of the Andaman Sea. The islands have become popular with tourists because of their clear blue waters, especially among divers. The most interesting spots, therefore, seems to be found beneath the waves. Many spectacular coral growths in the world can be found here.

The Similan Islands have become just as popular in their own right because of the low-lying formations covered with thick forests of Ironwood and gum trees. The islands are also home to many types of animals as well as endangered animals.

The Similan Islands consist of ten small islands. The first island is Hu-Yong or Koh Nueng (Koh means island in Thai). Koh Nueng has got a white sandy beach and is the longest beach from all other islands. It is a place for sea turtles for laying their eggs, and it is a good place for deep diving.

The second island is Pa-Young or Koh Song. There is no beach on this island. So, it is just a good site of deep diving and snorkeling. The third island is Pa-Youn or Koh Sam. Also, there is no beach on this island. Generally, people call this island "The Great Wall Island" as there is a rock formation just like the wall under the sea around the island. Petrocaribe - Should Costa Rica Accept Handouts From Chavez?

Costa Rica, like many Latin American countries, buys a lot of oil from Hugo Chavez. Try almost 100% of the 18,000 barrels of crude that the country refines daily. Under current financial terms, this crude has to be paid for within 8 days. However, if Costa Rica joins in with Hugo Chavez sponsored "Petrocaribe" those terms could change drastically for the better. Petrocaribe is Chavez offer to countries of Central America and the Caribe to purchase oil on very favorable terms. They still have to purchase at market rates and if those rates exceed $100 per barrel, the favorable terms kick in. Specifically, the ability to finance the purchase of 60% of the price of the crude over 25 years at interest fixed at 1% (and with two years of grace). The remaining 40% of the price would be paid over 90 days. This would generate enormous savings that could be invested as Costa Rica chooses. A big debate is over what to do with this surplus.

That is what I like to call a "good problem." A bigger problem in my opinion is whether to accept any such handouts from Hugo Chavez in the first place. Does this not allow Chavez, who has expressed dictatorial visions of grandeur, to get his hands around the throat of Costa Rica economically? Could this just be a ploy in his pursuit to become the czar of Latin America? Would it have been a good idea for France or Great Britain to have made such cozy deals with Hitler? Chavez is no Hitler, you might say, but are we sure about that? He has already been busy muzzling any negative press in his own country and rapidly passing laws giving himself control over every facet of Venezuela's economy prior to the upcoming elections. Venezuela's citizenry enjoy cheap oil, but the Chavez version of freedom offered to his people seems pretty "cheap" as well. The price of any debt incurred to Chavez may ultimately prove to be very expensive.

Introduction to Thai Food - Pad Gra Pow

Breakfast, that's the key. I'd find myself in Thailand standing on the street in front of my hotel or guest house that first morning in a new city or town or village and realize that I was ravenous after yesterdays' travel. Once more down the list of options. Eat in a nice hotel dining room where the food tastes exactly like every other hotel dining room in the world or is priced several times beyond what I would like to pay?

Maybe take a chance on one of the "Farang" restaurants (that means foreigner.) A sign in English and photographs on the menu so ordering can be done by pointing. And yes, the credit card size piece of ham is as small and the eggs are as runny as they look in the picture. You can also bet that the toast will be as cold as my high school English teachers' heart. The "Thai" food won't much better because it's always carefully adulterated so as not to offend the taste buds of foreigners who don't like Thai food anyway.

No. Start walking in any direction you see people are going and take a chance on what you will find. You'll know it when you see it. Indoors, outdoors or even street side, people are sitting and eating. Better yet is if you see more than one operation serving food in an area and only one of them is busy with satisfied customers while the competition stands around contemplating a career change. If there are taxi or Tuk Tuk or Moto-Taxi drivers starting their day there, you know you've hit the mother-lode. The food will be good and the price right.

Walk in, sit down and look like a customer. Catch someones' eye and have a go at ordering. I might end up with jok (rice porridge,) khao thom (cooked rice stewed with some meat) or even some noodles in a broth if I have to resort to pointing to the next table and asking for the same. My first choice though is usually pad gra pow (pronouncing "pot kapow" with a smile on my face usually does the trick.)

The beauty of pad gra pow is that it's so simple that it's almost impossible to not do well and it can be done quickly and easily. A plate of cooked rice smothered in a stir-fry of meat and holy (or sacred) basil. It is obviously peasant food but it's exactly what is needed to get your day off to a good start.

To prepare at home, put about two tablespoons of oil into a hot pan, chop or mince about two tablespoons of garlic and about the same amount of chili peppers and drop into the hot oil. Stir the garlic and chilies until the garlic just starts to brown then add about a half pound of ground chicken (gai) or pork (moo.) Stir the mixture until it seems to dry a little then add a tablespoon of sugar and one or more tablespoons of Thai or Vietnamese fish sauce. Last, add from about one half to a full cup of fresh holy basil leaves. Give a quick stir to mix the basil in well and wilt the leaves, remove from the heat and serve over rice. If finding fresh holy basil is a problem go ahead and use sweet basil and the results will be close to the original.

In the authentic Thai restaurant, the condiment offered on the table will be nam pla prik (fish sauce with some chopped chilies and a squeeze of lime juice.) Just a few drops of this is sufficient to add some saltiness and a bit of after burn to make the meal satisfying.

When ordering, don't be afraid to ask for mai phet (not spicy) or phet nit noi (a little spicy.) A popular garnish is an egg (kai) fried sunny-side-up (dow.) Don't be frightened off by all those who say that Thai is a difficult language to learn. Try ordering pot kapow moo kai dow, mai phet for a very satisfying and authentic Thai breakfast.

Phuket Island - Popular Travel Destination in Thailand

Phuket has grown into one of the premier holiday destinations in South East Asia and is one of the busiest travel destinations of Thailand. It has replaced Bali as the most popular holiday island in the region.

What makes Phuket island such a great travel destination?

Phuket is first of all an inexpensive holiday destination. Phuket hotels, resorts and guesthouses can be found in all price categories and ratings and prices are considerably cheaper then what one would encounter in Europe or America.

Dining in restaurants or buying drinks in bars or clubs on Phuket is also less expensive then what most tourists are used to paying back in their home countries.

Phuket Beaches

The palm tree lined beaches of Phuket Island are of course world famous due to its crystal white sand and clear water of the Andaman Sea. Some of the nicest and most popular beaches found on Phuket Island are the beaches at Patong, Kamala, Karon, Kata and Nai Harn.

Phuket Nightlife

The Phuket nightlife is another reason why many tourists visit Phuket each year on holiday. Many tourists seem to keep coming back each year for especially the nightlife and bars of Phuket.

Most Phuket island nightlife venues can be found in Patong beach along the well known Soi Bangla. A number of large clubs are located along Bangla road in Patong including the very popular Tiger disco and the new Seduction Disco.

You can also find along Bangla road and the many small streets leading into Soi Bangla hundreds of beer bars. Each beer bar has a number of beautiful Thai ladies working for them who there to please the clients.

Phuket Shopping

Going shopping in Phuket in the past was not one of the most interesting activities for tourists due to the lack of a good variety of shops and products. Most of the shops sold the same tailor made clothing, bootleg movies and software and fake designer clothing.

Over the last few years however, a number of large shopping malls have opened on Phuket housing well known international retailers, unique local boutiques as well as international restaurant outlets such as Outback steakhouse and Burger King.

If you are going to visit Phuket for a holiday then please make sure to visit the brand new Phuket Junkceylon mall in Patong or the Central Carnival Mall along the Phuket by-pass road.

Five Dream Wedding Destinations Around The World

If you're getting married or know someone else who is, then you're probably already aware of the fact that weddings are rather expensive nowadays. Whoever said that a marriage is easy probably didn't have to sit down and plan his wedding. Even if it is a simple wedding held in a church and is followed by a simple reception and a honeymoon, there is still a lot of planning involved in it. Fortunately, you can now cut those wedding costs to almost half and save on loads of time without the frustration that is normally involved, by hiring a travel agent to plan a dream holiday destination wedding for you.

When weddings are held at holiday destinations, away from the betrothed duo's hometown, they are known as destination weddings. According to recent survey, destination weddings have rapidly increased in popularity over the last few years. Many such weddings feature the betrothed couple eloping to some exciting and adventurous, far off location. Some prefer to invite close friends and family to join in the celebrations.

There are so many breathtakingly beautiful wedding destinations all over the world to choose from and planning your dream holiday wedding is an exciting experience. The most difficult part of having a destination wedding lies in choosing the perfect location. However, here are 5 of the most sought after marriage destinations:

1. Mexico: Mexico is home to two of the most gorgeous holiday wedding locations. All you romantics who are dreaming of white beaches and crystal clear water for a perfect beach wedding should probably opt for Cancun. On the other hand, Cozumel is just off the Yucatan Peninsula and has some of the world's best scuba diving spots. With its charming little resorts that are a perfect contrast to the secluded beaches, Cozumel is perfect for those looking to have a tropical wedding.

Activities For Women Travelers - Phuket is For All!

Phuket, famous for its beaches and nightlife, is known for driving a large number of men looking for a visit to the a go go bars, beer bars and discotheques packed with young and single Thai ladies. Is a woman traveling alone in Phuket have her place? There are definitely many activities to enjoy for foreign ladies on the island.

There are plenty of cheap and fun activities to do for women traveling alone in Phuket. Finding new friends among other travelers is easy, as well as meeting Thai ladies who will enjoy chatting to practice their English. This can be a good way to learn more about Thai culture and the country. A young sexy female traveler will certainly get the interest of Thai men, but without them being too invasive.

The first thing that a woman will enjoy in the island is the numerous beaches available. From a small nearly private beach where sun bathing can be enjoyed to more busy beaches like in Patong, there is somewhere to go. Foreign ladies must know that sunbathing topless is very impolite and shocking in Thai culture and must not be done publicly.

In addition to the beach, where a cheap Thai massage can be enjoyed, pampering is available at many SPAs that can offer a wide range of services. Some of them provide hydrotherapy, sauna, Shiatsu massage and skin treatment sessions by qualified practitioners in a setting with a great view on the sea.

Wellness programs are also available, generally combined with SPA sessions. On the menu are weight loss and diet programs, fitness, and also alternative methods like meditation and tai chi. Women only groups offer other activities like for example, Nia dance, reiki, yoga and Shiatsu.

Shopping is another activity that women visiting Phuket will enjoy as there is a wide range of quality colorful clothes and accessories on sale in shopping malls, but also markets. All items are priced very competitively in comparison to Europe or the USA, so it is without doubts a good time to add extra luggage when living the country.

A must do in Phuket is sightseeing and there are many tour agencies that have joined excursions available in small groups to the many attractions in and around Phuket island. Renting a motorcycle or a car is possible for those who want more freedom and stay alone. Sport activities like mountain biking, sea kayaking, snorkeling, diving or motorcycling are good options.

Patong is famous for its active nightlife that all men will like. But is there a place in Phuket where women can go? In addition to the a go-go bars, where women can also have drink, there are several pubs and discotheques where the night can be enjoyed. For those who do not want to be alone, there are certainly plenty of opportunities to make new friends.

There is without question a place for foreign women in Phuket, which is not only for men, as anywhere else in Thailand.

Top 10 Things To Do And See In Krabi Thailand

With so many activities that are perfect for the whole family to enjoy, Krabi has framed itself as a laid-back resort destination where the emphasis falls on comfort and relaxation instead of on high-energy parties. The natural landscape is accentuated by limestone outcroppings known as karsts that pop up all over the countryside. With abundant plant life and beautiful coral reefs, there's plenty to explore while you're staying here.

Exploring the archipelago

One of the most remarkable ways to experience the limestone rock formations and spectacular beaches is to take a daytrip from one island to another. Many tour guides offer organised daytrips to the highlights of the archipelago, which are worth it and a chance to break away from the crowds of the mainland resort. For the more independent explorer, sea kayaks can be rented for trips out to some of the nearest small islands. A boat day trip to Phi Phi is a must too!

Than Bok Khoranie National Park

If you have a tent and would like a place to set up camp, consider heading out to Than Bok Khorani National Park, a secluded place with no concrete accommodation but an abundance of plant species culminating in a very picturesque pond surrounded by gardenias and apocynaceae. The park also boasts several limestone caves and some lovely mangrove forests. Many visit on a day trip from Phuket.

Rock climbing

Many rock climbing outfitters in Krabi also give lessons at various skill levels to help you improve your rock climbing abilities. The limestone cliffs and unique stone formations have helped Krabi carve out a global reputation among rock climbing circles. Ton Sai is the first stop for most climbers, as it's the most frequented climbed spot in the area. Other climbing outings to more secluded areas are easily arranged with the help of climbing outfitters.

Koh Lanta Marine National Park

The sea gypsies, or Chai Leh, still live and work on the island of Koh Lanta--now a marine national park. For centuries they have practiced their own form of spirit worship and spoken their own distinct language. This island also has the region's standard fare of beautiful beaches, unique rock formations and stunning coral reefs for exploration. Some of the rainforest on this island is virtually untouched and remains protected. Visitors can rent bungalows and stay a while. It's also connected to Phi Phi island by ferry.

Shell Fossil Cemetery

Thirty five million years ago, the site of Ban Laem Pho Cape was an enormous freshwater swamp that hosted millions of small snails. The remains of these creatures formed a fossilised composite that has grown almost 16 inches thick. This huge slab has become one of Krabi's most popular attractions and can be reached via a 10-mile drive from the town of Krabi.

Krabi nightlife

Ao Nang Beach resort area is the primary tourist hub of Krabi, with Krabi Town itself not offering a whole lot to out-of-towners except for a glimpse of everyday life for the locals. While not quite as exciting as Phuket, in the resort area you'll find bars and restaurants whose doors remain open past midnight, though you'll be hard-pressed to find any exhilarating parties or discotheques. Instead, this is a more family-oriented holiday spot with some nice restaurants and a relaxed, quiet atmosphere.

Scuba diving

The official diving season in Krabi is from November to Mach, though the conditions are hospitable all year round and divers are here at every time of the year. Snorkelling is also a great way to get a view of the coral reefs. Diving companies on the mainland can get you certified as a diver and will also arrange diving trips out to all of the best reefs in the surrounding area. The diving at Phi Phi is especially good.

Biking

Bikes can be rented in the Ao Nang resort area, and a cycling loop that heads out of town guides cyclist through the limestone rock formations that dot the landscape. The road curves through old villages and groves of coconut trees, and riders can stretch this spectacular route into as much as 15 or 20 miles of biking.

Railay Beach

Railay Beach may be the region's most unique coastal area, with its crescent shaped coastline that's cut off from the mainland by huge outcroppings of rock. Only accessible by boat, you can charter a vessel to drop you off for a daytrip to Phra Nang, a sacred enshrined cave, or for an overnight stay in one of the resorts that lay claim to these peaceful beaches. Even the beaches at Phuket don't even compete!

Daytrip to Wat Tham Seua

Wat Tham Seua is the largest temple in Krabi, and its name means Tiger Cave Temple. It's literally tucked into the limestone cliffs of Ao Luk Thanu mountain range, and the Buddhist monks that live and worship here do so in the caves themselves. The highlight of this temple is 'Buddha's footprint', located at the summit of a 1,272-step climb, a point that affords wonderful views of the countryside spreading in every direction.
